My name is Jarrett Bywaters and I am an emerging artist from Pennsylvania USA. I've been drawing with pen and ink for 20 years and Its my absolute passion. I have two distinct styles that I use a lot. The first style I call "compulsive zebra printing". I start with an idea and I simply draw line, after line, after line, after line, after line...... And once the black is done I color in between the lines to make this visually dark and intriguing image. That's one side of me. My other artistic style is very precise and sharp. I like to do these rotationally symmetrical pen and ink drawings. Completely freehand and as close to perfect as I can get them. I never add color to these drawings to keep them as sharp and striking as possible. I love how pen and ink looks when its black and white. Its like good and evil or day and night. My two greatest inspirations for my artwork come from two very different people. The first is HR Giger. His work is amazing and very dark. The second is Singer/Songwriter Trent Reznor whos music embodies all of my art. I hope you enjoy my artwork and I can answer any questions you may have for me by email.
