I have often influenced myself by the effects that offer image processing software. So, from my first use of Photoshop, I was marked by the Inner Glow filter. It corresponds to my main inspiration: the light. This is what attracts me in the new media: the RGB colors, the brightness and the contrasts produced by the screens. When asked how color crosses different mediums, I like to explore the process of materialization/dematerialization of drawing. As a result, Inner Glow is a series representing the changes that my work underwent following my residency in Vence (Nice) in 2019 – 2020. This is one of my researches exploring the intersection between digital mage and drawing. In Brussels, I was also inspired by the work of Franck Stella and Richard Tuttle. I had discovered the use of scotch as a means of drawing during my residency «We Draw» at the Friche de la Belle de Mai in Marseille. So I said to myself that I could also use it as a means of painting. This allows me to see my Inner Glow series as a promise of new language.

My work is part of a search for crossovers between the image created with a digital medium, painting and drawing. This mix is the result of my training, in painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts of Sofia (Bulgaria) and animation/digital image at the National School of Decorative Arts of Paris. I have a great interest in image processing software. I use it as a painting tool and also as a means to explore the process of materialization/ dematerialization of painting. Indeed, I consider everything as painting. I print my digital images and transcribe them into drawing or painting. In the end, it gives birth to new, completely different works. I am inspired by light, colour and exoticism. I define my creations as intuitive and intimate. According to my vision, art must be part of everyday life. Therefore, I use my smartphone a lot in my creation. I am often inspired by images posted on social networks, different places, meetings. Thus, my creation, a permanent work in progress, evolves within the new contexts.
