ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I started experimenting with Chinese woodcut and ink drawing. Technique is complex giving thus unique touch and visual, even sensual experience. As a motive, lovers joined me on my travels creating a kind of erotic travelogue, this time visiting Spain. Always loved those balconies in Barcelona. So vibrant, lively, personal and intimate, revealing certain colour of life of the ones hiding inside. These tiny terraces, each one a stage with it’s own scenography, richly decorated by life necessities call for an act. On that space, that private, jet revealed to the world, small stage, lovers of life - we play our roles magnificently, being grandiose, being small and insignificant, being all that is necessary for the life to happen. As in my previous works some have their own haiku, inspired by the artwork itself, written by a friend and a poet, Alen Tatić. It Takes Two For Paella Like making love, or Dancing tango, it takes two To eat paella

Drawing inspiration from a blend of Eastern philosophy, calligraphic principles, and printing techniques, my approach to art is deeply rooted in the experimental and expressive artistic handwriting. Over the past decade, my artistic journey has been dedicated to the exploration of sacred erotic art, with a particular focus on the rich traditions of Indian and Taoist cultures. Through meticulous research, I've delved into the depths of these traditions, aiming to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary audiences. My objective is clear: to illuminate the intricacies of sacred eroticism and present them to modern viewers through the versatile medium of drawing and mixed media. By doing so, I hope to ignite a curiosity and appreciation for these profound yet often cryptic discoveries, encouraging further exploration and understanding.
