ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Painting of Isaac and Bluma my grandmother's parents in Germany before the Second World War. This painting is part of a series of works on my family that are based on photographs I found on my grandparents' old albums The photo is painted in blue and black on pottery shard , in this case a fragment of porcelain vessels, with ceramics special colors. The painting is fired in a special ceramic kiln, at a temperature of 1200 degrees Celsius. My husband created the wooden frame. The painting is pinned to it and some of it looks floating in the air due to the concave shape of the piece. The wood is painted in broken white and behind it a hook for a comfortable hanging. Please note that the visualization of the artwork within the room does not demonstrate the exact dimensions of the frame because there is no frame in the selected image. Want to commemorate your loved ones? Work can be ordered according to your photography. Notice that the painting is not photography and that it has artistic freedom.
