Art Description

Drawing: Digital, Pencil, Manipulated, Photo on Paper, Glass, Wood.

Gordon's work all revolves around kites as a metaphor, as an intercedent between two states of being. Whilst not a literal illustration, this series looks at the chrysalis process as the state between two forms of being. The initial images are drawn, then printed, transformed and cut; finally layered to be something unspecific, straddling familiar form and what the viewer brings to it. They float in glass, to further reinforce the notion of floating or flux.
