About The Artwork
"Lady Death" started out as a life drawing session. I drew the character in conte. Then the drawing sat for a while. I finally had the idea to do something more with it recently. I spray-painted it. The red conte stood out still. I then thought long and hard what I could draw in the empty space and I came up with a spooky skull. I drew the skull using white out. It's my unique method. I also used white-out for the highlights and a brush and ink for the dark shadows. The effect is a piece that at once beautiful, captivating, and unique.
