ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This drawing is part of a set produced in the winter of 2013, which attempts to materialize a series of dreams made up of powerful images. The style is influenced by Native American arts. Several techniques are used in the series: pastels, inks, etc. The theme of the bird which will be taken up in the following years in my paintings is already present.

“I paint a stained, drooling nature. My images are shadows, fugitive remains, blurred memories, witnesses of traces made indelible. These are prophecies of a leaking world.” After 34 years in Paris, Arnaud Gautron now lives and works in Brittany, where he finds an environment conducive to the development of expressionist visions of his imagination. His paintings are based on the study of the relationship between man and nature and on the exploration of his own unconscious.
