About The Artwork
My paintings are created using an index of names of colors taken from makeup and objects that are related to the body,and sexuality. I create a mad lib sort of title and turn that language into images inspired from the artificial nature of being that exists today. I use fluorescent colors, dancing figures and limbs emerging from classical representations of still life and flowers to represent a form of re-birth and portal of my internal struggle to break from conventions and codes engraved in me from the beginning.
