Dear Theo, Autumn rains gold upon my furrowed brow and I blink glitter at God's opalescent tapestry. Last night I dreamt I was on a aeroplane over the sea. I had gone forward to shoot a picture of my neighbor Heidi who was laughing with her soccer team up front in Business class. As I snapped the shutter I overheard cries from the cockpit, May Day May Day! Naturally Brother, I grew alarmed and broke into a cantor to reclaim my seat but alas all went wonky and eschew. The next thing I knew I was looking for a pencil to feverishly scribble this informative missive to you. The stewardess was like, "Mr. van Gogh would you please stop rifling through the snack cabinet and return to your seat. The captain's fastened the yardarm to the starboard bow!" Theo? Dude! Yardarm to the starboard bow?! I mean wtf bro. She might as well have said, Kalo Ximeroma matey. All this linguistic hopscotch just as the plane is listing and tilting and May Daying my ass into a lather. I felt my pockets in a rhythmic pat-pat the way you do when you think you've forgotten your phone on the charger or wallet in the junk drawer but my thighs felt like soap bubbles! I'm all like, Can this flight get any weirder yo?! With that query I roused myself awake and realized I'd become totally twisted in the hammock like an errant fly in a spider's web. Remember how we used to laugh at Gilligan and the Skipper doing their screwball hammock schtick? Those were the days bro, those were the days. Gotta run. Much luv.
