About The Artwork

Living Rooms is a meta-biographical portrait series. Each portrait is a personal exploration of the subjects' psyche, including themes in: cognitive dissonances, reoccurring dream analysis, and other topics revealing behaviors of a sentient nature. Each portrait serves as a celebratory artifact of the person's cerebral archives, a past version of themselves to reflect upon, a piece of nostalgia to hang on the collectors' walls instead of on the subjects' shoulders. For portrait commission inquiries, please contact milandelvecchio358@gmail.com for your own personal cerebral artifact!

Milan DelVecchio (b. 1987, Carson City, NV) is a multimedia artist currently living in Los Angeles, CA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of DAAP in 2010, followed by a Master of Fine Arts degree in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts in NYC (2013). As someone who thrives on diversity, Milan’s medium is ever-changing, with a constant thread of provocative whimsy weaving her often disparate bodies of work together. In November 2017, her abstract motion graphics animation Bb-L’Orange was featured at the LA LIVE in downtown Los Angeles as part of Standard Vision's monthly content screening series. Most recently, she designed and constructed costumes for Laboratory for Embodied Intelligences – a dance performance / art and science research collaboration with Nina Waisman, Flora Weigman, Fulcrum Arts and SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence), with featured performances at the Hammer Museum, The Rose Bowl for Arroyo Secco Music Festival, and 18th Street Art Center (Los Angeles, CA 2017-18). She would like to align her next artistic ventures with social and/or environmental progressives.
