About The Artwork

For many people, the worst part about losing a loved one is the fact that we never see them again. Once they are buried, that’s it. The person is gone forever, and the only way we can see them is in pictures and our memories. However, not all cultures “do” death the same way. Case in point: the Ma’nene death ritual in Indonesia, practiced by the Torajan people of Sulawesi island. In English, this ritual means “The Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses,” and that is exactly what they do. *The artwork is made on paper and needs frame, mat and covering glass

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My name is Natalia Andrushaewa. I am an artist. I was lucky and realized in early childhood that drawing is the main way of expressing my thoughts, so I have been doing this for about my whole life. Experts define my style as dark surrealism, but I consider myself a symbolist. I draw inspiration from Death, lucid dreams, mythology and vintage photos.
