Mersolis Schöne is a German Artist, Film Director, and Researcher based in Vienna, Austria. He is a member of Künstlerhaus Wien in Austria, The Professional Association of Visual Artists in Germany, and other associations. His works "Memory Sculptures" (Gedächtnisskulpturen) presented at Saatchi Art are created on the basis of philosophical, psychological, or literary concepts. Based on a symbol-language the displayed drawings act as thinking tools to design an internal architecture of sculptural memory. The process of creation varies, on the one hand there are interactive performative settings in exchange with other artists (e.g. from the fields of music, literature, film, performance), where the works are created during the performative exchange. On the other hand, there are clearly defined symbol formations that are developed over months and years.
