Part of the DEATH Series, this piece continues the visual anthology series of playing with the idea of burials. This piece in particular has to do with War and Glass containers. Ms. Meadow carries the plexiglass containers on her arms that will carry the dead ones, and then releases them from the container onto the ground to grow trees to help the other soldiers know where their friends have fallen. I hope the viewers are excited about the piece by looking at it -- the narrative is not necessary. The narrative is for myself. The medium of acrylic lets me really solidify the idea of overlays and the colors are kept simple as not to distract too much from the actual ink drawing in the background.

Stories are fun to have, and the drawings are for telling. No matter the shape or the size, a narrative will be there. It is good to involve yourself in these things -- you will be the development of the idea of “reading pictures”. These are developed with story in mind, but no one has the same mind as each other yet, therefore each piece can be its own story. The people do so many different things, and you may find the people in these drawings do the same things you do. World culture and human behavior are justifications for the figures, the objects stay as products of the actions. For children, for adult, these are people drawings, and these are people stories.
