Not Stopping Until We Have Enough Cupcackes Drawing

My mixed-media work on paper emerges from an intuitive “stream of consciousness” part of my artistic practice. They emerge largely unplanned, and are not focused so much on working through any particular formal or pictorial issues, but rather in simply exercising, and manifesting, my creative sensibility and practice. My drawings can be understood as glimpses into that creative space where ideas both begin, and are sustained. The process of drawing is for me art making at its most immediate and direct, and might be understood simply as an imprint, or residue, of regular, daily, meditative, practice. Most of my drawings, predominantly works on paper, are eventually cut up and reused, transformed into some of the raw material that I use in producing my various “recycled” works. Made with archival materials and heavyweight artist’s paper. The image of this drawing has been cropped to approximately 11” x 14”. (The drawing is shipped with a protective mat board opening size 10 5/8” x 13 5/8”, & outer dimension of 16” x 20”. The actual size of the un-matted drawings vary slightly and are slightly larger than the cropped dimension. They may be framed and displayed with or without a mat.)
