Nuns On Motorcycles Drawing

For a couple of years I've been doing the covers for a Catholic literary and cultural magazine called The Lamp. Stuffy? Reverent? Not at all. This idea came from them. A lot of the ideas originate with them and they're all fun and, shall we say, irreverent, which makes religion more interesting and palatable. Jesus had a sense of humor. I drew the bikes looking at a family photo. I have never personally ridden a motorcycle or seen a nun riding one, so there is an element of fantasy here. In my story collection from last year I've listed nuns among the things I was afraid of as a child. Obviously this drawing was freeing for me.
