Onion wreath Drawing

This work was inspired by Jacques Hnizdovsky art. Jacques Hnizdovsky is a famous Ukrainian-born artist (painter, printmaker, graphic designer, illustrator and sculptor) who lived and worked most of his time in USA, New York. I really admire his work and want the whole world to know about him. This artwork is made of a single piece of colored paper. The image is carved with a knife and cut with scissors. Paper cutting is an old and rare art technique; it evolved all over the world like a folk art but now we can use it to create modern ad unique designs. I have chosen this technique because is challenging and delicate and brings good results. Paper cuts look great in modern and minimal interiors while they are light and contrast.
