ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work stems from a compassionate examination of form, and how sufferers of the medical condition 'Optical Agnosia' struggle in their name recognition of everyday, banal objects. These objects become strangers and their simple outline causes confusion. I wished to convey this illusion/delusion using movement and gravity. The drawing is simply Graphite on Newsprint and contains hole punches in the corners to hang the work using metal screws provided.
