Tin Samaržija was born on April 11, 1997. in Zagreb. He finished elementary school Petar Zrinski in Zagreb. He graduated from the Graphic Department of the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, under the mentorship of prof. Jure Kokeze. He entered the Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. He completed his undergraduate studies at the graphics department in the class of Prof. Dr. Art. Robert Šimrak with a commendation from the Latin classification Summa cum laude baccalaureus graphics. Upon completion of undergraduate studies in 2020/2021. enrolls in graduate studies in the class of the same professor. In the same year, he became a member of the Croatian Society of Fine Artists. He will finish his graduate studies in graphics in 2022 under the mentorship of associate professor of art. Josipa Baća with honors from the Latin classification Magna cum laude master of graphics. He has been exhibiting independently since 2010 and has participated in over 70 solo or collective exhibitions in Croatia and abroad (Zagreb, Zaprešić, Karlovac, Krapina, Brseč, Split, Pula, Rijeka, Livno, Dubrovnik, Vukovar, Ptuj, Trakya, Belgrade, London, Doncaster, Madrid, Istanbul, Rome, Miami, Brazil, Nevsehir-Cappadocia etc.). He worked on a large number of projects with eminent representatives of art and culture such as the former Minister of Culture Božo Biškupić, Tomislav Buntak, Mikica Maštrović, Academician Luko Paljetak, Academician Zlatan Vrkljan, Robert Šimrak, Svjetlan Junaković, Ivica Šiško, Academician Dimitrije Popović, Josip Zanki etc. He is the recipient of several commendations for his successful work, as well as the overall rector's award for the opera Brundibar, which he received for the segment of poster design and visual identity. A large number of his drawings and prints can be found in various collections and institutions such as the holdings of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, the National and University Library in Zagreb, the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, the Art Gallery in Split, the Franciscan Museum in Livno, the University and City Library in Osijek, the City Museum on Hvar, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb, the Art Gallery in Dubrovnik, the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Biškupić Collection, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, the University of Mostar. He lives and works in Zagreb.
