This piece is part of a series of drawings studying the psychological phenomenon called pareidolia: the human tendency to perceive a meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern. Nebulae, the apparent subject of each piece, function as a visual stimulus that invites the viewer to see images created by his own imagination. The use of pointillism takes part in this research, recalling the structure of the universe made of vacuum and particles of matter and widening the leeway for interpretation of the viewers.
