I was born in Macau and educated art in Japan. I received my Ph.D in fine art in Japan before moving to New York City where I studied classical painting and now lives. Before I moved to New York City, I was a still life painter, especially I studied Japanese painting in Japan before I moved to New York. New York is a wonderful gay city, especially the gay culture that influence me to do male figure drawing. Complex and reverence is a point why I like to do the male figure drawing because I am afraid to get naked in front of people. I respect for all of the man who can do naked. I hope to preserve their beautiful bodies in my artworks forever. “DRIZZLE” is one of my new male drawing series called Partly Cloudy. A work that mixes what you see and what you imagine. This idea and style is from Traditional Japanese Painting that I study in Japan. Moreover, rain is the image of this work. The style of my art-making has changed over the year. I am sure this drawing is a valuable work for your collection.

Realistic Male Form Artist. I am a portrait artist based in New York City. I received my Ph.D in fine art and lectured at K.S. University in Japan and moved to New York City in 2008, where I began studying portraiture at National Academy School of Fine Arts. From 2009 to 2013, I rigorously explored human anatomy in graphite and pastel. Painting portraits is my passion. I started focusing on male figure when I moved to New York. The gay culture in New York City inspires me to work with men. My work focuses on male figures with old master and traditional Japanese painting techniques. Every portrait I paint provides me with the opportunity to create a work of art that exhibits both beauty and timelessness. I devote much time to the study of artistic techniques and expressive capabilities. I carefully study old master portrait paintings on view in New York City. I meticulously examine these masterpieces, always evaluating how I can best incorporate my observations into my own work. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them and to discover beauty in daily life and culture.
