Ink on 200 g/sqm Schoeller paper. In Greek mythology, the sea god Poseidon is one of the most lascivious of the gods, producing more children than many other gods. Greek calendars varied from polis to polis, but in some Greek calendars, a month around the time of the winter solstice is named for Poseidon. This midwinter solstice period also corresponded roughly to the sixth month of the ancient Greek calendar: Poseidonia. The inspiration for the artworks in this collection has been drawn from the mythological realm of Poseidon, showing the harmony between the human figures and aquatic beings.
