Art Description

Drawing: Ink, Marker on Paper.

I use photographs and historical artworks to create drawings that investigate the residue of humanity around and inside me. My work is a means of deep communication and a way of reconciling relationships.

This portrait uses optics, a grid and the rainbow to describe the complexity of our world. The figure holds a prickly pear cactus. The cactus signifies hardiness, clever weaponry, and ability to endure change. I feel these characteristics are part of life and my ability to embody them leads to a full spectra of experience.

The work is on archival paper and is ready to be framed.
