About The Artwork
An ink drawing with gold leaf on Mountford, inspired by the complexities of the soul beyond the surface. A woman's face can just about be seen in the mass of lines symbolic as a haze of thought that people can get lost in, with images of the moon, referring to the many cultures where the moon is associated with female deities and motherhood in mythology. The colour purple has connotations of compassion which all women struggling and loosing themselves in their thoughts need.
