This artwork is made by hand using the artist's self-built lathe. It allows her to create both 3D sculpture and 2D drawings. This pen drawing is made slowly and meticulously, paying particular attention to the positioning of each line. Each line is positioned by hand and then slowly marked onto the paper. The drawing is given a greater sense of depth by varying the pressure of the pen on the surface of the paper while Kate transitions between coloured inks.

*The artwork is shown mounted on a grey wall. Please note the grey background is not part of the artwork and not included in the sale.*

The paper has a torn edge finish, this can be cut to be a sharp edge if required. This piece can be framed upon request. The slight variations within the lines reminds the viewer that the drawing is made by hand and retains the mark of the artist's hand.
