About The Artwork
Forever carrying the burden of guilt, known as "A Mother's Lot", she opens up her enormous bag..( another bit of a Mother's lot) which in turn spreads out to receive her weariness. She props the handles against the large trees and drapes the soft lining over and through them for added comfort. When she rests her chin and cheek against the softness and fondles the hanging remains she forms a picture of playing the violin she once excelled at. She fantasises this scenario away from her daughters as she is well aware that they think she's off with the fairies anyway.....wait..isn't that in fact true.
