About The Artwork
I am inspired by the surrealistic possibilities of character, the beauty of natural strangeness, and the search for a glowing happiness in the absurd. This drawing is a part of an ongoing series I call "Cyber Sex." The works are a meditation on current trends in technology, fashion, and beauty. New technologies, like smart phones and virtual reality headsets available to all, will have a lasting effect on identity, sexual discourse, and the self. I like to wonder how far we will stretch ourselves to evolve with these luxuries, within the confines of being human. This 11 x 14 inch piece is an original Prismacolor pencil drawing on white Strathmore paper. My name is Stephanie Quinn and I have over nine years of formal Fine Art & Design training and experience. I have exhibited my work in many cafes, galleries, and warehouses, as well as working in various museums in the exhibit departments. You may have seen me drawing caricatures professionally at Navy Pier in Chicago, or fundraising for PAWS Chicago, where I donated all of my proceeds to homeless pets!
