A Shinto vase is an excuse for a drawing with delight in mark making. There is a rubbing for the body of the vase and the table, then frivilous lines to describe the bouquet of branches. Bits of red signify bright berries. A recipe for meditative joy.

Canadian artist from Vancouver, B.C. Some of my images are very different from the others. I made a decision to leave all doors open, to explore, to experiment, to translate, metamorphose and to dream. In drawing and painting, I analyze the world around me, recording, rescuing fugitive images from obscurity and saving them in some kind of visual imagery - chalk pastels, watercolours, oils, acrylics, plastic archival collage or photos. I paint what I find funny, or beautiful, or simply something that fits into an archetypal pattern. I look for layers of meaning. I like to preserve images of everyday life. .asp
