About The Artwork

I dislike naming pieces because the naming of something binds the piece to be only that. Abstract art is meant to push one's horizons, beyond our given reality. Look at the piece and let it take you were it wills.

Japan based artist and avid cat lover. Moved from the U.S. to Japan 20 plus years ago to continue my studies of japanese pottery and metal founding. Born a quarter Black Foot Indian, I was able to find my path here in Japan and through the teachings of my great spiritual teacher, I was able to find true peace and a broader insight into the worlds around me and the worlds within. My drawings are a type of automatic drawing or spirit drawing in which I let my hand move on it's own to create up to 90% of each piece. The final touches are done to accentuate the darkness. Each piece offer a glimpse into the Ether, worlds devoid of humanity but filled with unimaginable beauty. My sculptures are made with traditionally made japanese paper (WASHI わし[和紙]). Exceptionally light but surprisingly rigid, my sculptures tend to move more toward symmetrical pieces but always have a touch of eroticism to them.
