Sick & Sad Drawing

This piece is inspired by one of my favorite songs called Sick and Sad. The song has a lot of meaning behind it about a person who is very depressed and how even when somebody is very depressed it is important to move on and keep moving forward. I am in love with the song and I hope that Viewers can see through this portrait that same feeling of moving on even when you were depressed or sad it doesn’t have to be raining all the time. Sometimes you have to look ahead. I chose to do charcoal and this woman because I think that charcoal is not only my main medium of choice , but it can be manipulated to show strong emotional details. This woman I chose to draw. Is someone very special to me.
