Art Description

Drawing: Color, Ink, Acrylic, Rubber Stamps on Paper.

“Confidence is ignorance. If you're feeling cocky, it's because there's something you don't know.” ― Eoin Colfer, Artemis Fowl

This ink drawing contrasts dry brush texture with loaded brush flow. There is also contrast between the crisp rubber stamp feathers and the Neocolor II red gestural scumbles in the comb and wattles.

This rooster drawing is inspired by the many vocabulary terms used to describe drawing tools and techniques. I deploy these terms to help my students vary their drawing strategies in order to create unexpected juxtapositions.
