Song of Sanguinity is inspired by memories from a train journey through a rugged landscape, climbing up from sea level into the mountains. The breathtaking views of waterfalls and steep ravines made this a spectacular trip, we could look down into narrow valleys from the train windows, the landscape was sweetened by summer flowers and a penetrating ethereal sunlight. My main focus is on the colours, the memories has faded into a colourmood letting me bring in elusive elements of the landscape that inspired it. Handle with care. This artwork is made with soft pastels on paper and need framing, don't touch the surface. It ship safely flat in a box.

" I WEAVE COLOURS INTO COLOUR POETRY AND MEMORIES TO LYRICAL LANDSCAPES" "My lifelong passion with colour unfolds itself in my artwork. For as long back as I remember I have colour memories, images like this one of my grandma standing white-haired in her summer garden between pink roses and greenery with her light blue apron gently waving in the breeze. I perceive much of my surroundings through colour and experience nature often as an abstract imagery. Beautiful colours, vibrant or soothing, surprising and fun, all of them wherever they appear continue to fascinate and inspire me to create colourful artworks. I work intuitively and from memories, preferring to create a series of paintings from the same inception. I live and work on the West coast of Norway with the North Sea at one side and Fjords on the other. I want to convey my perception of these old landscapes to the viewer, to visualise the abundant beauty and vulnerability of this nature through the veil of memories and the vibrancy of the colours. I like to capture moody moments and express its calm and serene greatness. These lyrical landscapes are not pictures of actual places, they are made from memories and one could call them soulmoods, as they express emotions and a state of mind as much as a landscape" Kristin Holm Dybvig is a Norwegian artist, educated in England, she live and work at the West Coast of Norway.
