About The Artwork

Jon Lin is an emerging multidisciplinary artist who utilizes a wide range of materials in his practice. Lin’s work can be described as a gateway to conceptual realism. Specializing in charcoal, pen & ink, colored pencils, and gilding techniques, Jon Lin’s latest project explores the beauty of wildlife and attempts to capture that in varying perspectives through his use of different mediums, yet questions societal obsessions at the same time. Typically working in a large scale, Jon pushes the viewer to enter the subject and become a piece of the narrative. Jon’s art has slowly changed in the last few years and even though still-life has been his primary subject matter, he is always on a mission to create edgier work and experiment with new methods to build grander shows.
