VIEW IN MY ROOM
Drawing: Ink, Black & White, Pencil, gold leaf on Paper.
The ink drawing called Stay highlights the contrast between the contemporary society, which destroys dreams and feelings and the introspection of a being that through a silent cry addressed to an experience, a moment, a person, wishes to be seen.
The force of the gaze, the open mouth, render strong inner life, purity, love, the need to convey a feeling. The petals of the flower cover the young woman, protecting her from the insensitivity or lack of response from others for a strong emotion.
Stay means regret, expectation, resignation, desire, or simply the woman who feels she has lost her lover.
I used the golden leaf to mark the contrast between the innocence and the sensitivity of a feeling in a mercantile society.
