Delve into the enchanting world of the Marquesas with "Marquesas Whispers," a tribute to the rich cultural tapestry of this captivating Polynesian community. Inspired by the intricate beauty of Te Patutiki, the traditional tattoo art of the Marquesas, this piece breathes life into each symbol, each line a whisper of the island's vibrant heritage. As you explore the canvas, allow the symbols to unfold their unique stories. Te Patutiki is not merely ink on skin; it's a language, a visual poetry that carries the essence of the Marquesan people. Each symbol bears a profound significance, and collectively, they weave a tapestry of cultural identity. The choice of medium is a labor of love. With meticulous care, I use markers to transform the black canvas into a vibrant spectacle, bringing new life to the traditional backdrop. This intentional choice is a visual metaphor, mirroring the revival of ancient customs and the infusion of contemporary perspectives. The subject matter holds immense importance to me, as I am an ardent admirer of Marquesan culture. In each stroke, I strive to capture the spirit of the islands, embedding the signs and symbols within my characters. It's a way of paying homage to a culture that has profoundly touched my soul. My artistic style is a unique manifestation of love—love for the Marquesan culture, its symbols, and the power they hold. The vibes are palpable, resonating with the deep connection I feel with these islands and their people. "Marquesas Whispers: Te Patutiki Unveiled" invites you to embark on a visual journey, where each mark on the canvas whispers tales of tradition, resilience, and cultural identity. Let the art unfold before you, and may you feel the powerful impact of the Marquesas culture in every stroke.

The creation process starts with a pencil sketch and then follows using spray to achieve his desired color combination which is totally unique, going against any conventional stereotypes or believes. He likes to mix it up on canvas using spray cans, markers, squeezers, brushes, acrylic, watercolor or oil as well as using Japanese brushes, adding his final touch using his signature Polynesian tattoos that follow him since childhood in all his creations, and with a touch of night glow spray - because he believes that you can see the beauty of a painting even at night, and that his paintings come to life at night. His favorite materials to draw on is Acrylic ,Spray Paint as well as using things like bottles of wine he shared with people he loves, old books he read, or shoes, shirts and jackets. The use of tattoos have a very big impact on his creations giving huge volume to all his characters. He is heavily influenced by the Polynesian tattoos especially from the Marquesas Islands and works closely of the greatest artists of his generation, who taught him all he knows about the different symbols and their interpretations which you can find in each of his characters.
