Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they where going to be." -Joseph Campbell The hand project: The hand drawings started as a mere project without any intention of becoming artworks. They intended to express feelings, stages and circumstances of life itself. I don’t know exactly why I started drawing hands. Perhaps, it was because of their astonishing anatomy and complexity, or the way in which the light casts its shadows wherever a vein runs, accentuating the topography of our skin. Maybe it was because I recognize myself and my story through my hands, maybe we all do. Our hands may well be windows and tools, a physical and metaphysical extension of our body. With them we create. With our hands we shape things out of thin air, even the slightest snapping of fingers produces a distinguishable sound.
