Art Description

Drawing: Graphite on Paper.

This drawing is part of the series "The Unpredictability of Things".
In my currently work, I am researching the spatial possibilities of drawing - in two-dimensional space (drawing) and three-dimensional space (sculpture / object).
My interest is especially in the line, as a structuring element of the image and as the defining unit of network patterns (through its repetition).
Along with these ideas, I use the concepts; of emptiness and complementarity, to construct and objectify my images.
Particularly in the case of the two-dimensional space (drawing) I am interested in exploring the line (and the pattern) through the use of perspective, since this geometric expedient creates the illusion and confuses the senses, causing a distortion in the perception of reality.
The structuring of my projects, part of the creation of fictional series, where I combine Drawings and Sculptures / Objects. In them I gather images of different perceptions (figurative / abstract, organic / geometric, macro / micro), in order to relate the different universes (their complexity and their similarity).
