Janna Coumoundouros is a Detroit based photographer, artist, and fashion designer. She has a BFA in Photography from the University of Michigan. She has been a professional photographer for 24 years shooting many subjects for magazines, corporations, commercial assignments, and fashion. Her photographs have been on Italian Vogue, Styleline Magazine, Detroit Home, Essere Magazine, Verite Magazine, Hour Detroit Magazine and more. Her design inspiration arises from a desire to discover the beauty in every-day objects, overlooked places, and fashion. Having her hand in many different mediums creates cross-overs in her work, keeping it fresh, current, and interesting. Coumoundouros’ fashions comprised of automotive interior material by Inteva have won first prize honors at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the University of Michigan. Her work has been sold all over the globe and exhibited in galleries and museums including the Detroit Institute of Art, The Flint Institute of Art, and the Detroit HIstorical Musuem.
