The end of the summer Drawing

One summer afternoon I was waiting for my granny in the yard of the mental hospital where she worked as a nurse. The sun was shining and poplar fluff was flying like snowflakes. Then I saw kids, walking in pairs, wearing similar grey clothes, shaved heads and hand in hand. It was difficult to understand were they boys or girls ( about 12 years old) I was 4 and I was shocked and scared and when I back home I grabbed my new paint and started to paint those kids with hair and in bright clothes. I wanted to change them, to make them free and happy. At least on paper. Since then I've been painting. Now so many things I have inside and they ask to let them out. Smells, memories, colors, shadows, sorrows, lights, everything need to be discovered and the art help me to make them free.
