Three Drawing

This piece is inspired by the Robotic Assisted Surgery and was previously exhibited in Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts as part of the Science and Art exhibition where it had one first place. The idea of Robotic Assisted Surgery is interpreted through the three hands in the image: one is in a glove and holding the suggested scalpel referencing a surgeon, supported my the other two which with differing finish, obliterated forms and white line work suggest robotics. The clinical white of the acrylic gesso contrasts with the organic texture and colour of the wood, the natural and the man-made are intertwined - technology and humanity come together.
