Touch Drawing

Sarina Rick, born in Bremerhaven in 1978, lives and works in Oldenburg (Oldb.), Germany. My name is Sarina Rick. I’m a self-taught artist with a deep passion for painting and drawing. What started as a long-time hobby has grown into a professional artistic journey. In my studio in northern Germany, I explore themes of identity, emotion, and transformation through figurative and conceptual works. I experiment with various techniques and materials—especially gouache, ink, and pencil—and enjoy the freedom of moving between styles while developing a visual language that feels true to me. My inspiration often comes from people, personal encounters, and emotions, but also from the creative process itself. Not every work reflects a specific event—some emerge from the dialogue between thought, form, and intuition. Each piece I create is part of an ongoing exploration: of surfaces, cracks, gestures, and the silent stories they tell.
