About The Artwork

Two old oaks branches facing each other. Both are scarred by life. Yet they seem to be drawing closer to each other, having an exchange. As if electrified, the sky seems to glow. The branches are a composition of transfered photographic images on plaster. The rudimentary transfer is accomplished with pastel and graphit. A modest patina by wiped pigments is fixed with mineral binder. Craquele, patina and a high gloss coating give the painting a dignified and noble appearance. The work is signed on the reverse.
