ABOUT THE ARTWORK
DETAILS AND DIMENSIONS
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

This work is inspired by the ebb and flow of human emotion and its connections to memory and space. The layering of soft and bold hues reflects the tension between calm and chaos in everyday life, a recurring theme in my exploration of identity and urban experiences. I hope viewers will feel a sense...

I’m a visual artist. I live in Tbilisi, Georgia. A few years ago I was studying at Caucasus University, Faculty of Business, after two years I realized that this wasn’t a field that would allow me to express myself. During this period I became interested in contemporary art and wanted to study at a professional level so I changed my profession. Now I’m a graduate student from the Free University of Tbilisi visual arts and design. Last year I took part in Erasmus + an exchange program and studied for one semester at Chelsea College of London. Last year I was a finalist for the Tsinandali award, which is the only art competition in Georgia. Tsinandali award serves to popularize achievements in contemporary art and promote talent among young, prospective artists. My working medium is sculpture and room installations. The exhibition space where the works displayed is also important for me. Depending on the shapes I create shapes, barriers, and partitions in the space where the visitor has to navigate. I use nonsolid material for example- sheet, organic glass, but my interventions gives it a spatial and special, and sculptural look. When I work on drawings my attitude doesn’t change, I perceive the surface of the canvas as spatial space and try to change it with abstract shapes. When working in space, one material is reproduced and gives the pattern look of an installation, where a similar material and shape is reproducible. This kind of repetition gives the installation dynamism. I have used organic glass in my recent works. I change the look of the material minimally and create architectural forms. The material is transparent and its specific color allows me to filter the reality beyond the object.
