About The Artwork
This is not a real landscape, nor it is a landscape at all. it is only a play of darkness and light onto the surface. In the process I take a composition of traditional landscapes and play with lines and surfaces that creates a certain sensation and feeling. It is made with Indian ink and brush, as I found that that technique gives me the most space for quick work at some times and contemplation on my next move while the ink is drying.

My name is Jana Kuvalja. I was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina on May 29, 1990. I graduated bachelor studies on Faculty of visual arts in Belgrade, Serbia in 2013. department of painting. I finished my Master studies on the same Faculty in 2015. I am a member of Serbian Association of Visual Artists since 2016. Currently I live in Banja Luka.
