The Floyd Patterson comic book was Victory Comics second book in the great boxers’ series. I first met Floyd Patterson when I was in high school. He was in Queens, New York waiting to be picked up. He talked to me for two hours. When the opportunity came up to do his comic book I jumped on the project. Tony Williams was the artist for this project and Victoria Ward colored the original artwork. Floyd Patterson was the first heavyweight champion to retain the title. Years Later when we talked about doing the comic book we found out that we were both pilots.
