ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My work is based in form and language, often manifesting as invented alphabets or visual languages, in many different mediums. Complex ideas are conveyed through simple, symbolic, shapes and forms. I am Polish American and have been inspired by Kandinsky and Russian Constructivism. I used colored pencils applied in many layers to produce the vibrant colors in these drawings. My technique is very energetic and full of motion, evident in the texture inside the shapes and in contrast to the controlled edges. The work is thought provoking, uplifting and inspirational to all ages from children to elders.
