Waves of Life No.1 Drawing

No.1 is the first drawing of a series I began to work on after following the longing for a more universal language, to express a shift of consciousness in my life. From my early childhood, I fell in love with various ways to express myself, but no matter which form I used, after a while I felt something is missing and I recognized that, while time flies by, I never could grasp the whole picture, as we are all so much more than our profession or the way we look like. These lines of black chinese ink, drawn with a little wooden stick on paper, helped me to capture the essence and layers of life. The way we are all different, yet the same. The moments we spend and shape the world and how we become part of its landscape. No matter what we do, we leave our imprint and every line reminds me on the primal function of lines and carvings, which our ancestors known and used long before us in their daily life, to learn about the world, nature and the role humans play for a glimpse of time.
