Art Description

Drawing: Charcoal, colored pencils , pigment, pastels, Graphite on Paper.

"Weg zum Mond" or "Path to moon" is part of a body of work that drew partly from the life reform movement in Germany and Switzerland in the early 1900. It was movement searching for alternative ways of living, closer to nature. They founded an utopian society on a mountain they named "Mountain of truth" in Switzerland.
These utopian visions, and longing to feel closer connected to our earth combined with my own longings and dreams lead to this artwork.
It was created in 2014 in Hamburg, Germany in my studio in Achterhaus, a collective artist run space.
