About The Artwork
Wild! is a hyperrealistic drawing of an Uno 'wild' card, rendered on paper using coloured pencils. this artwork took me a little over a hundred hours to make and was inspired by CJ Hendry's STRAYA exhibition. when did I see CJ make an entire card game, draw the cards, and design an entire exhibition around it? I thought to myself, "damn! that's wild." and then, I decided I must make something like this. so, I ran to my room and picked up the deck of UNO cards and began crumpling them until I found the perfect wild card. of course, the crumpling was just to add that additional detail to make it challenging! but all in all, this is still one of my most favourite artworks I've made to date. it truly is Wild.
