My artwork celebrates the inherent beauty of Jewish holidays and ritual objects, landscapes, still life, and the abstract in watercolor, oil pastel, and pencil. My artistic style is abstract and impressionistic with bold, broken colors. Visually appealing and energetic color combinations dominate my artwork. My pencil drawing is realistic, paying careful attention to light and shadow. I use professional quality artists materials ensuring color vibrancy and lightfastness. By experimenting with various media, I capture the unique characteristics of my subjects. I have a personal relationship with my artwork. I carefully create my Judaica art with particular attention to the essence of each scene. The source of my still life paintings are the objects around me. Places I’ve visited become my landscapes. My abstract art reveals my mood or feeling at a particular moment. What do I want to say with my art? Know that the mundane is not so mundane, the simple not so simple. There’s inherent beauty and complexity in even the simplest of objects and places that deserves to be captured.
