About The Artwork
The original piece was drawn with paint pens onto a mango wood board. This is one of many animals I have drawn in a style I like to call 'tatoodle'. I feel there is a look of a tatoo about it (although I know literally nothing about tatoos, having never had one!), using the free flow style of doodling. The original piece was then varnished and ready to hang. Why a wolf and an owl? A very good friend of mine was telling me how she has always been particularly drawn to wolves... and owls. I asked if it were the strength of the wolf and the wiseness of the owl, which I thought seemed very like her own personality, but she simply said no... she just loves them! And so this drawing began......
